• Advised and implemented a client’s Deed of Variation which resulted in an inheritance tax (IHT) saving of £132,000.
• Helped an international client reduce Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) by £106,000 on the purchase of a UK property.
• Navigated complex VAT rules on digital services to reduce VAT payable by £20,000.
• Increased the capital allowances on a farmer’s barn construction by more than £57,000.

Personal

• Ian likes to listen to music, and enjoys singing. He’s an avid sports fan (especially rugby and football) and now spends most of his free time engaged in his busy family life.
